So my car has been having weird problems stalling and not wanting to start for a few months, and I took it to a new mechanic today who knew exactly what to do to fix it and did so for $100. Then, despite not getting home from work until 6:30 PM because I was borrowing my boyfriend's car while mine was in the shop and I needed to pick him up, UPS delivered my package from NewEgg 5 minutes after I got home, sparing me a drawn-out trip to the UPS office that would have made me miss my raid tonight.

Anyway, this is what happens when my sister is sick and takes over my room. I can't concentrate on anything and end up putting stupid shit together and uploading it, oh my god. (Seriously, why did I think it would be a good idea to make cover art?)

Mixing with our good buddy Rich Costey is going great. So far, he's mixed 9 songs, and they all sound fucking stellar. He had an interesting process where he started out mixing some of the looser songs first, and then ramped up to the denser stuff. Our goal in mixing is to make it loud, and then make it louder then that. "Still Alive" was an early one, and he brought a real heaviness and aggressiveness to that song. Song is very drum and bass oriented, very different for us, but still rocks at the same time. A bit of Queen influenced guitar harmonies helps on that song.

"Save Yourself" was another early one, a mix of Judas Priest metal and 80's arena rock. That song went through a lot of different permutations, and finally we settled on this vibe that took us to new territory. We then got into a song called "The Only Hope For Me Is You," and that's where things really starting clicking with Rich. What was great was each song would just sound better and bigger than the last. As some of you had guessed from a twitter thing of mine (I refuse to call it a tweet), David Campbell did a bit of work on the record, and that's one of the songs he arranged for. Costey did this crazy effect with the strings going into the last chorus that blew me away. One of my favorite tracks.

"Trans Am" and "Death Before Disco" came next. "Disco" you may have heard at the Roxy shows or from Youtube videos of Summersonic. So happy with the way that mix turned out. I have to drive REALLY FAST when I listen to it. I think that's a hallmark of a great rock song. "Trans Am" is an epic take on "Born To Run" in 4 minutes. When we wrote this song, it was HUGE for us. Really opened our hearts and ears during the writing process. Frank, thanks for noodling and G, good ear to make a song out of it. You guys will love this song. Another favorite. Looking forward to more mixes, we got coming up "Kiss The Ring," which we also played at Roxy. I really can't wait for "Black Dragon Fighting Society," our ode to Misfits punk. Song kinda shreds!

Mixing is a great thing. The ideas continue to flow, and like they say, writing is never done. FYI any of the song titles mentioned are still tentative, you know how we like to change things up!!!

My main is a Level 64 BM Huntard, and when I say Huntard, I truly mean it. I've never really bothered to learn the "correct" way to play. I am a solo player, and I like it that way. I run around Azeroth leveling through questing and good ol' fashioned beating the crud out of mobs. I don't do instances, I don't do BGs, I don't join groups and that's okay to me. I am an extremely casual player who will play non-stop for a month and then not come back for a couple of months. I figure that as long as I'm not stepping on anyone's toes and enjoying myself it's okay that I don't know "correct" shot rotation. However, I come with a question regarding professions.

Currently, I'm a level 375 skinner and a 375 Tailor. I chose tailoring when I first started because I thought making bags would make me some money. I find that I actually make a lot more money from skinning and spend more money trying to level my tailoring. I've been thinking of dropping tailoring and picking up Engineering. I don't really want to change out skinning for mining (I have two other alts that are 20-30 and are miners). And seriously, the fun toys that engineers get to play with are muchly coveted by me. =D But I'm leery about dropping a profession I've worked so hard - and spent so much money - to level. It seems like I'm finally seeing a little return on my gold. Opinions?

After seven years playing fashionista Brooke Davis on the locally filmed TV series “One Tree Hill,” Sophia Bush has become a fixture in the Wilmington area. She can often be spotted hanging with friends in downtown restaurants and clubs, or putting her celebrity to good use at area fundraisers.

“I think people have lost sight of how important it is to give back,” Bush said recently at a fundraiser for the Wilmington Police Recreation Association Officer Down Memorial Wall.

Bush, 27, said her parents always encouraged charity work when she was growing up, and she wants to pass that encouragement on to other young people.

Sometimes an actor can be just so right for a part based on where they came from. Lee Norris grew up in the basketball-friendly state of North Carolina and attended the ACC powerhouse school Wake Forest, known for a rich legacy of college basketball greatness. Norris plays Marvin "Mouth" McFadden, who becomes a basketball commentator on the hit CW series One Tree Hill, which is currently airing its seventh season on Monday nights at 8 PM ET on the CW Network. I recently had the chance to speak with Norris over the phone about his role in this long-running series, and here's what he had to say.

I was curious how you first heard about this character Mouth and what was your first reaction about this character?

Lee Norris: I was actually a student in college when I got the call to audition for Mouth. I was really interested in it because he was really interested in sports and I wanted to be a sports announcer. I went to an ACC school, Wake Forest, I'm a big college basketball fan and it was just a natural interest for me. In fact, I wore my basketball t-shirt into the audition and kind of talked junk with our executive producer Mark Schwahn, who went to Maryland. It was sort of a cool way to try out for the part and, obviously, the part grew and it was nice to become more complex as the show has gone on.
